MALPUA 

Women's Day Special - Delicious MALPUA Recipe!
Wish you all  beautiful, charming, strong, versatilesuccessful women a wonderful & very HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY” from Anjali's Kitchen!


Ingredients:
 
For the MALPUA:
500 gms all-purpose flour
2 cloves
2 pepper
2 smashed bananas
1 cup milk
Slivered almonds and pistachios to garnish
Ghee

For the SUGAR SYRUP:

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Saffron strands
1/2 tsp cardamom powder


Method:

1. Mix equal quantity of sugar and water in a thick bottomed pan and boil it until a single-thread consistency is obtained.
2. Boil to reduce it to half of its original volume. Stir frequently.
3. Remove it from the fire.
4. Add cardamom powder, saffron threads, mix well.
5. Keep it aside to use later.
6. Take a bowl and mix milk, flour, clove, pepper, smashed bananas together to form a smooth batter.
7. Heat ghee in a deep frying pan to cook the MALPUAS.
8. Pour the batter into the oil to form small circles about 4" in diameter.
9. Cook till golden brown.
10. Remove from the oil and put directly into the sugar syrup.
11. Remove after 2-3 minutes.
12. While serving garnish it with silvered nuts.

Tips:
  • Serve hot as then you can feel the aroma of banana.
  • You can also serve it pouring 1 spoon rabdi over them.































Palak Methi Tikki

Here is a quick & healthy recipe for Palak Methi Tikki’s. Try It!
 
Ingredients:

·                     Finely chopped small bunch Methi (Fenugreek)
·                     Finely chopped small bunch Palak (Spinach )
·                     1 tsp chili powder
·                     ¼  tsp turmeric powder
·                     ¼  of Ajwain
·                     Finely chopped Coriander leaves
·                     ½ tsp sesame seeds
·                     1 bowl cooked rice
·                     1 bowl of bread crumbs
·                     2 tbsp oil
·                     Salt to taste

 Method:
 1.       Grind finely chopped palak, methi and rice in a mixy.
2.       Take the above mixture in a bowl add salt, sesame, ajwain, chili powder, turmeric powder, chopped coriander. Mix well
3.        Divide the mixture into equal portions. Grease your palms, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into tikkis.
4.       Heat a pan and add sufficient oil. Place the tikkis on the hot pan and shallow fry.
5.       When the underside is done, flip over and cook till the other side is done. Do not flip the tikkis too often as they are very delicate and may break.


 6.       Serve hot :-))
